Psychological Therapy Services Agreement

Thank you for trusting Tawazon Center for Family Counseling. In our commitment to providing therapeutic sessions that achieve the highest level of benefit and satisfaction, we would like to clarify the following terms. Please read this agreement carefully, and feel free to contact us with any related inquiries.

First: Nature of the Sessions

A) Psychological or family therapy sessions provide a safe space for expressing emotions, understanding stressors and difficult experiences, and equipping the client with tools to overcome challenges and address the effects of psychological trauma, by the grace of God.

B) Clients are expected to feel relief after openly discussing their concerns; however, it is natural at times to experience some discomfort when addressing painful issues. This is considered part of the therapeutic process, and the specialist will support the client and help them manage any accompanying reactions.

C) The duration of each therapeutic session is (50) minutes. The number of sessions required to achieve therapeutic goals varies depending on the client’s needs, symptom severity, and psychological history.

D) The therapeutic process is a partnership between the client and the specialist and requires commitment to appointments, honest participation in discussing emotions and experiences, collaboration in setting therapeutic goals, and adherence to therapeutic recommendations whenever possible.

Second: Therapeutic Relationship and Confidentiality

A) The relationship between the client and the specialist is a professional one governed by therapeutic ethics and is not a friendship. Failure to respect these boundaries may result in immediate termination of the therapeutic process.

B) To protect privacy, the specialist refrains from initiating communication or interaction with clients in public places.

C) Communication outside sessions is limited to email and only as it serves the therapeutic plan. Emergency situations—such as risk of harm to oneself or others—are excluded. In such cases, the client must immediately go to the nearest hospital or contact the relevant authorities: 999 Police – 997 Ambulance – 990 Criminal Investigation – 1919 Domestic Violence Hotline – 937 Ministry of Health.

D) The specialist assists the client in clarifying options and making decisions but does not make decisions on the client’s behalf.

E) All shared information is confidential and will not be disclosed except in cases of real risk to the client or others, or in cases of abuse or family neglect, in accordance with applicable Child Protection and Mental Health Care regulations.

F) Appointments and communication are conducted directly with the client unless written consent is provided allowing specific information to be shared with other parties.

G) The center has the right to inform the client if an official request to access their information is received. In marital therapy, each party has the right to know the dates of joint sessions only, without access to the other party’s individual session appointments.

H) The center maintains confidential files and reports to monitor therapeutic progress, which are accessed only upon official request from authorized entities.

Third: Suspension and Termination of Sessions

A) Sessions are preferably concluded once the agreed therapeutic goals are achieved. The client has the right to suspend or terminate sessions after coordination with the specialist.

B) If sessions are discontinued for more than (6) months without coordination, the center has the right to close the file and dispose of records. Upon return, the client will be treated as a new case.

C) If the specialist determines that suspending sessions is necessary, this will be discussed with the client, with the option to transfer to another specialist if desired.

Fourth: Fees and Appointments

A) Appointments are booked via phone or WhatsApp +966 56 536 4663 or via email: info@TawazonSpace.com

B) Clients must contact the center at least (24) hours in advance to reschedule or cancel appointments. Clients will also be notified at least (24) hours in advance if the specialist needs to change the appointment.

C) Failure to attend a confirmed appointment will result in a no-show fee of (100) SAR added to the next session.

D) If the client is late by less than (10) minutes, the delay will be deducted from the session time.

E) If the client is late by more than (10) minutes, the appointment will be canceled and a no-show fee of (100) SAR will apply.

F) Prepaid fees are non-refundable unless the appointment is canceled at least (24) hours in advance.

G) If the specialist is late by less than (10) minutes, the time will be compensated within the session. If the delay exceeds (10) minutes without prior notice, the client is entitled to a partial refund.

H) Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in file closure or transfer to another specialist.

I) If the client wishes to book two or more consecutive sessions per week, coordination with the specialist is required to ensure suitability with the therapeutic plan.

J) If a session exceeds the standard 50-minute duration due to therapeutic need and with mutual consent, additional fees will apply proportionate to the extra time, in accordance with the center’s approved policy.
